OBDZ
Your car's live data, on a dashboard you arrange.
OBDZ reads your car through an OBD-II adapter and shows it on your iPhone, in CarPlay and in Live Activities.
What you need
- An iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
- A car with an OBD-II port, usually under the dashboard near the steering column.
- An ELM327-compatible OBD-II adapter that connects over Bluetooth LE or Wi-Fi.
No adapter yet? Choose Try the Demo Car in the app to see OBDZ with a simulated car.
Getting started
- Plug the adapter into the car's OBD-II port and switch the ignition on.
- For a Wi-Fi adapter, join its network in Settings › Wi-Fi.
- Open OBDZ and choose your adapter under Connection.
- Tell OBDZ your car's make, model and year, and it suggests gauges for the data your car reports.
What it does
- A dashboard of gauges you choose and arrange, on iPhone and in CarPlay.
- Live Activities on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- Trips: fuel economy, distance, and how the time splits between moving and stopped, with the engine on or off.
- Drive logs: record a drive's values and route, then replay them with a map and charts.
- Vehicle profiles with manufacturer data for many cars, beyond the standard OBD-II values.
Tips
- No values? Check that the ignition is on and the adapter sits firmly in the port.
- Cars report different data. A gauge that stays empty usually means the car doesn't report that value.
- Trips count only while OBDZ is reading the car.
